Founded in 1979, Huff & Huff, Inc. is a multi-disciplined firm providing biological, environmental, civil, and chemical engineering services.

The small size of the firm (27 professionals and 6 support staff) guarantees personal involvement and supervision on all projects. In addition to being assured who will be performing the work, Huff & Huff's (H&H) clients experience completion of the projects in a timely manner and within budget. We are proud of the quality of our work, and strive on every project to exceed the expectations of our clients.

During the past five years, 85% of new projects have come from clients we have worked for previously. This high level of repeat business attests to our ability to complete quality work, on schedule, and within budget.

The firm provides services across a variety of environmental fields. Natural resource assessments, wetlands, remediation design, wastewater design, stream surveys, sustainable solutions, environmental site assessments, air quality, underground storage tanks, risk assessment, hazardous waste management, and transportation-related environmental issues are all areas where H&H provides engineering services. H&H has been approved for EIS work by the Indiana Department of Transportation and Illinois DOT.

The firm has extensive computer modeling capabilities, including SWMM, mixing zone analysis, QUAL2E, CORMIX, groundwater models (MOC, MODFLOW, Flowpath, and Aqtesolv), risk assessment software (RBCA Tool Kit), air dispersion (ISC, AERMOD, and OBODM), Traffic Noise Model (TNM), and statistical analysis. All of our staff have the OSHA 40-hour training required for working at hazardous waste sites and are equipped with personal protective equipment.

H&H staff volunteer in a variety of ways to improve the environment, including sponsoring clean-up days for Salt Creek, invasive species removal at Montrose Beach ( Lake Michigan), and Students Engaged in Engineering (SEE) through ACEC. As an environmental firm we provide our own environmental guidelines including: office paper recycling, cash incentives for energy efficient cars, and our own environmental committee to assess ways to reduce our carbon footprint.
